Dubai International Airport is the primary international airport serving Dubai, United Arab Emirates and is the world's busiest airport by international passenger traffic. It is also the 3rd busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic, the 6th busiest cargo airport in world, the busiest airport for Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 movements, and the busiest airport in the world operating with only two runways. In 2017, DXB handled 88.2 million passengers, 2.65 million tons of cargo and registered 409,493 aircraft movements.

Business Need

IBM Maximo is used by DA Engineering services from 2012 to manage assets of both airports (DXB & DWC). Dubai Airport is using Maximo to maintain over 800,000 assets and 700,000 locations. In includes more than 100,000 preventive maintenance of Dubai Airport assets like runways, HVAC system, PLB (Passenger loading bridge), lighting system inspections (including runway), security camera inspection routine, baggage handling system, High Voltage / Low Voltage systems, standby power generation systems etc.
