Abu Dhabi Ports is a master developer of ports based in Abu Dhabi. As from the 6th November 2016, Abu Dhabi Ports extensive range of assets are managed by a new enterprise wide management system that improves the reliability and availability of Abu Dhabi Ports key operational equipment.
The new solution uses the IBM Maximo suite of systems which has been configured to meet the special demands of AD Ports. The system helps to manage all types of assets across all AD Ports business units namely Zayed Port, Khalifa Port, Safeen, Kizad through a single platform which is fully integrated into other existing range of systems.
Maximo is particularly suited for the ports industry and provides a holistic view of the current assets, their status and helps to maximize their useful life. The new solution is IoT (Internet Of Things) enabled and links directly to the management and control systems on board of its modern port equipment. In addition, the solution makes full use of mobile technology to dispatch and support the on-site engineers and contractors in order to minimize asset outages and reduce operating costs.
